A lot of great things have been happening over the past week at Willow River School!

Last week, our school raised $1,641 as part of the Wonder Walk, which was donated to the March of Dimes foundation! According to the Duluth March of Dimes office, we have the oldest Wonder Walk in the state! We had roughly 40 high school and 65 elementary students participate this year and also had 11 businesses from the community that matched grade-level donations.

On Wednesday, there were 53 units of blood collected at the May blood drive. This met our goal and brought the Memorial Blood Center Scholarship total to $2,400 for this school year. That means we collected 282 units throughout the year, saving a potential 846 lives!

On Thursday, the Chalk Walk took place. It was a beautiful day, the sidewalks are now covered with encouraging words and pictures from our elementary students, and we collected $127.84 in donations to the Elementary Fund. Thank you to all who helped support this event!
